QC Profiel
Purpose: Standardize quality control procedures for custom scarf orders, ensure products meet customer specifications and international standards, and minimize quality discrepancies.Applicable Scope: All custom scarf products (silk, wool, cashmere, blends, etc.) involving printing, sewing, and finishing processes.
1. Pre-Production Inspection (PPI)
1.1 Raw Material Verification
| Inspection Item | Standard Requirement | Inspection Method | Acceptance Criteria |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fabric Composition | Match customer-specified material (e.g., 100% Grade 6A Mulberry Silk, 70% Wool+30% Silk) | Fiber composition test, burn test (for natural/synthetic fiber identification) | 100% compliance with material specs; no substitution of inferior fabrics |
| Fabric Color & Texture | Consistent with approved color swatch (Pantone color matching); texture meets sample standard | Visual check, colorimeter test | Color deviation ≤ ΔE 1.5; no knots, holes, or uneven weaving on fabric surface |
| Printing Dyes & Auxiliaries | Meet OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I; no harmful chemicals | Third-party lab test report review | Provided test reports confirm compliance with safety standards |
1.2 Pre-Production Sample Approval
- Produce 2–3 pre-production samples according to customer’s design, printing, and sewing requirements.
- Confirm print pattern position, color accuracy, edge finishing, and size with customer in writing before mass production.
- Retain approved samples as the benchmark for in-line and final inspection.
2. In-Line Inspection (ILI)
2.1 Printing Process QC
| Process Type | Key Inspection Items | Standard | AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Digital Printing / Acid Printing | Color accuracy, pattern clarity, ink penetration, print position | Match approved sample; double-sided prints have no color difference; no smudges, blurs, or missing print areas | AQL 2.5 (major defects: ≤ 0%; minor defects: ≤ 2.5%) |
| Silk Screen Printing | Color registration, spot color consistency, ink adhesion | No color overlap; 7 spot colors match Pantone standards; ink passes tape adhesion test (no peeling) | AQL 2.5 |
2.2 Sewing & Finishing Process QC
| Inspection Item | Standard Requirement |
|---|---|
| Size Accuracy | Consistent with customer specs; tolerance ≤ ±2cm for length/width |
| Edge Finishing | Hand-rolled hems: neat, uniform width (0.5–0.8cm), no loose threads; machine hemming: no skipped stitches, fraying |
| Embroidery (if applicable) | Logo/pattern position accurate; thread color matches sample; no broken threads or uneven stitching |
| Labeling | Care label, size label, and brand label are sewn in the correct position; no misalignment or missing labels |
- Inspection frequency: Random check 10% of semi-finished products per production batch; stop production immediately if defects exceed AQL standards and adjust processes.
3. Final Random Inspection (FRI)
3.1 Product Appearance & Function Check
| Category | Inspection Details | Acceptance Criteria |
|---|---|---|
| Overall Appearance | No stains, yellowing, or odor; print pattern is complete and aligned | No major defects; minor defects (e.g., tiny loose thread) ≤ 2.5% per batch |
| Color Fastness | Wash fastness (ISO 105-C06) ≥ Grade 4; rubbing fastness (ISO 105-X12) ≥ Grade 4 | Pass third-party testing or in-house lab test |
| Dimensional Stability | No shrinkage or deformation after gentle washing | Shrinkage rate ≤ 2% |
| Packaging | Individual packaging (OPP bag/gift box) as per customer request; carton labeling includes order number, quantity, destination | Packaging is intact; no damage during packing |
3.2 Sampling Standard
- Follow AQL 2.5 (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4) standard for sampling.
- Batch size < 1,000 pcs: sample 32 pcs; batch size 1,001–3,200 pcs: sample 50 pcs.
