THE 138TH CANTON FAIR

The 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) is an import and export trade event held in Guangzhou, China from October 15 to November 4, 2025. Co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the fair covers an exhibition area of approximately 1.55 million square meters. It will be conducted offline in three phases with simultaneous online platform operations, allowing companies to apply for online participation through the Cloud Exhibition Hall Management System.  The fair features 55 exhibition zones, including a special section for rural revitalization products. Exhibits span 13 major categories such as industrial automation, new energy vehicles, and household goods. Over 31,000 enterprises will participate, with more than 5,000 making their debut.

On August 5, 2025, the "138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) Thailand Promotion Conference" hosted by the China International Trade Center, supported by the Thai Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and organized by the Thai Chinese Business Center was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Guests including Zhang Jie, a public counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Sudakong, director of the Investment Service Center of the Thai Investment Promotion Commission, and representatives from the political and business sectors such as buyers at the Canton Fair attended. About 200 representatives from Thai enterprises and Chinese businessmen also participated. On September 1, 2025, the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) Promotion Conference was held in Lisbon, Portugal. On September 4, 2025 local time, at a promotional event held in London, UK, over 200 representatives from government agencies, chambers of commerce, and businesses from China and the UK gathered to place high hopes on the upcoming 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). This year's Canton Fair will set up a sub venue in Belfast, UK. On September 16, 2025, after being supervised and released by Guangzhou Customs, the first batch of imported exhibits from the 138th China Import and Export Fair were cleared and entered the country at Nansha Port in Guangzhou. This batch of goods consists of 103 pieces of household appliances such as water heaters, washing machines, and air conditioners from Egypt, with a total weight of 6248 kilograms. It is the heaviest single batch of imported exhibits in any previous Canton Fair, marking the beginning of the 138th Canton Fair exhibition setup work. On October 3rd, the Canton Fair Australia Promotion Conference and China Enterprises Going Global Australia Forum were held at the New South Wales Parliament Building in Sydney. Jiangxi Province organized 568 enterprises from across the province to participate in the exhibition, with a total of nearly 900 offline booths, setting a new historical high in exhibition scale. According to the management measures of the Canton Fair and the selection requirements of the organizing committee, a total of 110 enterprises in Guizhou have obtained the qualification to participate, of which 11 enterprises are participating for the first time. A series of achievements in facilitating trade in qualified assessment services were showcased in this event. The event launched "World Certification Map 2.0" to empower digital certification information sharing; We have released the "Guidelines for International Certification Services for Chinese Export Products" report, which accurately responds to the information needs of enterprises for international certification; The Guangdong certification agency has signed a cooperation agreement with the Thai Commodity Export China Business Association and jointly issued high-end quality certification with the Malaysian certification agency.

On October 15, 2025, the 138th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) officially opened in Guangzhou. The exhibition is divided into three phases, with the first phase focusing on "advanced manufacturing" and featuring 19 exhibition areas including household appliances, electronic consumer goods and information products, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing. The number of professional buyers at this year's Canton Fair has significantly increased, and the accuracy of communication between enterprises and merchants has significantly improved. Multiple enterprises are promoting a market layout of "internal and external improvement", while deepening their foreign trade fundamentals, accelerating the development of the domestic market for "Heyuan Manufacturing". On October 23rd, the second phase of the 138th Canton Fair was officially launched. On October 27th, the second phase of the 138th Canton Fair closed. On October 31st, the third phase of this year's Canton Fair was presented as scheduled. On November 4th, the 138th Canton Fair concluded.
